President Trump Invites Loved Ones of Shot Guard Soldiers to White House

Former President Donald Trump revealed on Sunday that he has asked the family of a Guard member fatally shot last week to visit the executive mansion.

He mentioned that he contacted her parents and they were “devastated”.

Details on the Tragic Shooting

US army specialist Beckstrom, 20, was killed in a attack on Wednesday in the nation's capital.

Her comrade, Andrew Wolfe, 24, is still in the hospital in grave state.

Gatherings across the state have occurred in their honor.

Presidential Call

The president said he’s talked about a visit to the White House for the loved ones of both individuals of the state National Guard.

“I told them: ‘When you’re ready, because that’s a difficult moment, visit the White House. We’re going to honor her,” the president informed journalists. “And similarly with Andrew, recover or not.”

Community Support

Mourners came together over the past few days at Webster County high school in West Virginia to remember Sarah.

Both she and Wolfe had been serving with the military unit as part of the president’s federal initiative to assist policing efforts in the capital.

Paying Tribute to the Soldier

“Sarah was the kind of student that educators hoped for. She conducted herself with inner fortitude, a contagious smile and a positive energy that lifted people around her,” the principal, the head of her previous school, informed the press. “She was caring, caring and always ready to support those in need.”

Service arrangements for Sarah are still being arranged.

Judicial Steps and Government Changes

Law enforcement have charged a twenty-nine-year-old Afghan national with a charge of homicide and two counts of attempted murder while carrying a weapon.

The incident led the government to pause refugee claims and cease providing entry permits to owners of Afghan passports.

Condition of the Airman

Wolfe, a resident of the city, began his service in early 2019 and is a graduate of Musselman High, as reported by the news agency.

He is still undergoing care and is “fighting for his life”, West Virginia governor Patrick Morrisey stated on Fox News Channel’s The Sunday Briefing.

Attorney general Pam Bondi stated on a news show that she also intended to visit his relatives.

Legacy of Sarah Beckstrom

Beckstrom, from her hometown, completed her education from Webster County High in June 2023 and began her service not long after, serving as a law enforcement officer with distinction, according to the military.

“She had a lot of goodness and she certainly had bravery,” he informed the crowd at the service. “Though her time ended too soon, she has created a legacy that’s going to be remembered always.”
