The NWSL has unveiled a significant new rule created to enable its franchises to vie on the global stage for premier players. Titled the "Impact Player Rule," this provision permits teams to go beyond the association's salary cap by as much as $1 million specifically to attract and hold onto marquee players.

Focused on Retaining Crucial Players

Player Association Pushback
