Kansas City Chiefs Confirm Alleged Abuse Allegations Involving Player the Athlete
The Kansas City Chiefs released a comment on Wednesday evening indicating they have knowledge of domestic violence allegations made public in online accounts by a former girlfriend of player the athlete and had been in contact with the NFL.

The woman, who also did not mention Rice directly, shared a set of images on social media that seemed to depict signs of physical abuse. She did say the individual in question was the parent of her kids, and it is known she has kids with the football player, whom the Chiefs selected in the second round.
Official Complaints Reportedly Not on File
No police reports were on file in the Kansas City suburb where the incident is said to have taken place.
Rice's Prior Off-Field Troubles
Rice missed the first six games of this NFL campaign due to an NFL suspension for his involvement in instigating a crash on a Dallas highway that resulted in multiple people hurt. Rice was given 30 days in jail and five years’ probation after entering a guilty plea to serious offenses.
Statistically, he concluded the year with 53 catches for 571 yards and five TDs as the Chiefs finished with a losing record and failed to qualify for the postseason for the first time in a decade.
